In Calgary and southern Alberta, only Wellspring Calgary devotes itself exclusively to the unique non-medical impacts of having cancer. At Wellspring, people living with cancer, their families and friends can exchange information, develop a support system and create a sense of hope in a warm, caring community. A registered charity and part of a network of community-based support centres, Wellspring Calgary offers programs and services that meet the emotional, social and practical needs of people living with cancer and those who care for them. All Wellspring Calgary’s evidence-informed programs and services are offered free of charge and without referral.
Wellspring is looking for peer support volunteers who have a lived experience with cancer, either as a caregiver or patient. Peer support volunteers at Wellspring offer a compassionate listening ear and practical orientation to Wellspring Calgary’s programs, services and resources.
Whether you have experienced your own cancer journey or have been a caregiver for someone with cancer, Wellspring Calgary welcomes and values your contribution.
